On February 17, 2012, a special 125th anniversary version of Campus Life's annual Wake Up People! party was held. It was sponsored, in part by Pepsi, and featured The Second City Touring Company in a two-act college-themed Improv program called " FAFSA and Furious.” Second City was joined for part of their program by BRAVO!, Aquinas’s own Improv troupe. The stage show was followed by complimentary food and the exciting conclusion to AQ's campus talent competition, AQ Idol 6.
“One Enchanted Evening” was a special celebration for donors and benefactors held on April 24, 2012. The historic Holmdene mansion, Carriage House (built 1908) and the College's Performing Arts Center were the setting for the gourmet strolling dinner and concert. Historical tour guides intrigued guests who wined and dined to the strains of live music. Antique replica trolleys transported guests through the beautifully wooded campus to the dining and performance venues. The highlight of this enchanted evening was a gala concert of vocal and instrumental music from the worlds of opera, Broadway and jazz performed by Aquinas alumni Sara Jakubiak '02, Dr. Andy Fleser ’02, and Barbara Witham McCargar, chair of Aquinas College’s music department.
