Saints Down Wolves in Three Sets

11/01/2010 – The women's volleyball team extended their winning streak to sixteen games as they defeated UM Dearborn three games to zero. The victory pushes the Saints record to 25-11 overall and 10-4 in the WHAC, while the Wolves drop to 12-30 and 2-13 in the league.

The Saints made quick work of the Wolves as the Saints won all three sets (25-15, 25-10 and 25-14). Chelsea Phillips recorded 13 kills, while Jessica Curtis added ten. Sarah LeClair notched 18 digs and five aces on the night. During the second set LeClair established a new Aquinas record for digs in a season. Currently Sarah has 649 digs, eclipsing the previous record of Lindsay Nanninga (637). Katie Vander Meer paced the Saints with 30 assists.

Aquinas will return to action tomorrow night as the Saints host Madonna (28-7, 13-1) starting at 7 p.m. at the Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center.
