Bitner Leads Saints at LCC

10/04/2013 – The men's cross country team placed 4th out of 24 schools at the Lansing Community College Invitational. The meet was contested at Grand Woods Park in Lansing, Michigan. Grand Valley State won the team title, while Nate Martin won the event in a time of 25:06.

The men, who finished with 133 points, were led by junior Blake Bitner, who recorded a 20th place finish in a time of 26:07. The trio of Jesus Alvarado (26:24), Jeff Cherry (26:26) and Tom Willet (26:45) all placed in the top 40 for the Saints. Rounding out the scoring for Aquinas was Alex Martinez who placed 58th in a time of 27:15.

Aquinas will return to the course next week when they take part in the Bethel Invitational and the NAIA Preview Meet in Lawrence, Kansas.
