Crosby Named NWLL National Player of the Week

04/08/2014 – The women's lacrosse team has enjoyed some late season success and is now in preparation for the upcoming WHAC Tournament. A seven game winning streak elevated the Saints into a three-way tie for first place in the league standings. The Saints will enter the WHAC Tournament as the #2 seed and will play the winner of the Lourdes/Indiana Tech game. The Saints will play the semifinal round at Davenport on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Individual honors were also handed out to Hannah Crosby and Meghan Gray. Crosby, a freshman from Henrietta, New York, was named the WHAC Offensive Player of the Week and the National Women's Lacrosse League (NWLL) Offensive Player of the Week. Crosby has tallied 53 goals and 16 assists during her freshman season. Gray was honored for her fine play in net during the Saints 16-6 victory over the previously undefeated Davenport Panthers. Gray now boasts an overall record of 4-3 and has a 12.73 goals against average.

The Saints are currently 10-3 on the season and are ranked fourth in the latest NWLL Coaches Poll.
