Men's Cross Country Concludes Season

11/20/2010 – The men's cross country team finished 16th out of 32 schools at the NAIA National Championships. The field of 326 runners chewed up the muddy terrain at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. The performance by the Saints marks their lowest finish at the Championships since 2002 when they finished 18th.

Aquinas was led by strong performances of juniors Dustin Heiler and Devin Lea. Heiler (25:52) placed 36th overall, while Lea (26:07) did his part with a 55th place effort. Rounding out the top five for Aquinas was Nate Poirier (133rd -26:54), Mike Gravelyn (146th - 27:02) and Jim Janisse (157th - 27:09).

Other WHAC schools who competed at the Championships included Cornerstone (22nd) and Siena Heights (24th).
