Saints Swept at St. Xavier Tournament

12/29/2010 – The women's basketball team lost their third consecutive game in Chicago as the Saints were defeated by Spring Hill 55-48. The victory improves the Badgers season record to 6-9, while the Saints fall to 5-10 with the loss.

The game paired teacher versus student, as former assistant coach Ray Fron defeated his former team by seven to salvage a win at the St. Xavier Holiday Tournament. The Saints who will return home to play Grand Valley State on Sunday at the Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center were trumped by twenty more free throw attempts (24-4) by the Badgers. The Saints committed 25 turnovers and shot 32% to seal their fate.

The Saints were led by Marisa Marx who scored nine points and was also named to the All-Tournament Team.
