01/27/2011 – The women's basketball team traveled to Lima, Ohio and were defeated by the Racers by the score of 66-60. Northwestern Ohio improved their record to 11-12 overall and 4-6 in the WHAC, while the loss sends the Saints record to 8-15 on the season and 4-5 in league play.
On the strength of 14 three-pointers and a perfect 14-14 from the free throw line, the Racers were able to overcome 24 turnovers and 5-19 shooting on two-point attempts to defeat the Saints by six. The game saw four ties and six lead changes, with the Saints led by Vicky VanDyke and Ann Marie Shumaker, who both recorded 14 points.
The Saints will return to action on Saturday as they travel to #16 Cornerstone (18-5, 7-3 WHAC) to battle the Golden Eagles at 1 p.m.
