09/09/2010 – The women's soccer team is still searching for their first win of the year after falling to Spring Arbor 1-0. The Saints, who are in the midst of a three game home stand, were unable to crack the Cougars defense as the Saints could only muster two shots on goal. Spring Arbor, who now sports a 6-1 record on the year, scored the go ahead goal in the 34th minute. Megan Wegener of Spring Arbor snuck one past Saints keeper Kelsey Duley for the only goal of the game. Duley was credited with eight saves on the match.
Aquinas (0-4) will look for their first victory on Friday as the Saints host the Defenders from Dordt College (4-0) at the Aquinas College Soccer Field at 2 p.m.
