Men's Lacrosse Wins 4th Straight

04/18/2011 – The Aquinas Men's Lacrosse team won their fourth straight game by defeating the University of Michigan-Dearborn 17-4. The Saints outscored the Wolves 10-1 in the second half on cold and wet afternoon.

Despite the weather and the Dearborn's best efforts, Aquinas tied their season high for goals scored. Nine different Saints scored. Scott Brown, Mike Matych and Nate McCorry lead the action with three goals apiece. Tyler Rosema and Matt Schelter each added two goals. Also in the score-book were Matt Schousen, Mark Evans, Jacob Jeffers and Calvin Barsh. Freshman goalie Eric Bloomberg once again played well behind a stingy Saints defense that has only allowed ten goals in the past two games.

Marching towards the post season, Aquinas will compete for the division title against Grand Valley State on Thursday.
