04/18/2011 – The men's tennis team continued their fine season by winning the WHAC Championship over the weekend at Orchard Hills Tennis Club. The pair of victories improved the Saints overall record to 22-3 on the season.
In the first semifinal match, conference newcomer, Northwestern Ohio defeated Davenport 8-1. The nationally ranked Saints then defeated Indiana Tech by the same 8-1 score in their half of the bracket. The first WHAC Men's Tennis Tournament Championship was set. The Aquinas Saints would be matched up against the Racers from Northwestern Ohio for all the marbles.
The Saints claimed the championship on Saturday as Aquinas defeated UNOH by the count of 5-1. Both teams will now advance to the regional competition in two weeks.
