10/16/2011 – Tyler Fischer's goal in the final minute of play propels the Saints to a 1-0 victory over Siena Heights. The win improves Aquinas' record to 12-3 on the season and 2-1 in league play, while Siena Heights drops to 4-8-2 overall and are now 0-3 in the WHAC.
After eight shots (four of them being on goal), Tyler Fischer made his ninth and final shot a meaningful one. The goal by Fischer with :28 seconds to play found the back of the net and lifted the Saints to their twelfth victory of the season. Fischer, who leads the league in goals scored (12), continues to drive the Saints toward the postseason. Jesse Guevara-Lehker was credited with the victory as he recorded four saves.
The Saints will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Livonia to square off with the Crusaders from Madonna (5-7-2, 1-2-1 WHAC.)
