Saints Head West for Nationals

11/16/2011 – The men's and women's cross country teams flew into Portland, Oregon today in preparation for Saturday's NAIA Cross Country National Championships. Thirty-two of the best teams in the country will be traveling to the Great Northwest to take part in the championships. The race will be run in historic Fort Vancouver, Washington on Saturday morning.

The men's team, which is currently ranked 10th in the country, will be led by the combination of Dustin Heiler and Devin Lea. Joining Heiler and Lea will be Nick Thelen, Mike Gravelyn, Kolin Stickney, Jim Janisse, Danny Foley and Stephen Glinski.

The women's team will be paced by Catie Rietsema and Alina Dhaseleer. The Saints are fresh off their third straight WHAC Championship and enter the championships ranked 18th in the NAIA. Rietsema and Dhaseleer will be joined by Carly Plank, Emily Sandula, Megan Byrne, Jackie Katt, Rachel Reyna, and Rachel Luehm.

Weather forecast for Saturday morning is cold and rainy.
