09/22/2010 – The women's soccer team earned a much needed victory as the Saints downed MIAA foe Albion College 2-1. The win improves the Saints record to 2-6 on the year, while the loss sends Albion to a record of 1-6-1.
Madeline Rammal's first goal as an Aquinas Saint started the scoring for the match. Rammal's goal in the 39th minute was assisted on by Jaime Tomaszewski. The Saints extended the lead in the second half as Rebecca Underwood notched her team leading third goal of the season on a set up by Teresa Buiocchi. Albion's Laura Beck added a goal, but it was not enough as the Saints held on for the 2-1 decision. Kelsey Duley was credited with the victory as she recorded five saves for the Saints.
The women are right back in action today as they travel to Chicago for a match with Trinity Christian.
