12/11/2011 – The men's basketball team traveled to Fort Wayne, Indiana and was defeated by the host Warriors by the count of 64-58. The victory improved Indiana Tech's record to 10-2 on the season and 2-2 in league play, while the Saints fell to 5-8 overall and now sport the same 2-2 record in the WHAC.
Aquinas, who was coming off an emotional loss to the Golden Eagles, wasted little time in its next battle with Indiana Tech. Aquinas jumped out to an early advantage and built the lead to 12 with five minutes to play in the first half. The Warriors narrowed the lead to six at the halftime break and methodically closed the gap in the second half. Indiana Tech claimed its first lead at the 10:29 mark of half number two. The Saints quickly regained the advantage on a two point make by Jake Shockey, but the lead was short lived. Tech responded with a bucket of their own and never relinquished the lead over the games final eight minutes.
The Saints were led by Cole Moore's 14 points and eight rebounds. Zach Eddy and Kevin Grant chipped in with 12 and 11 points respectively. Chris Ware paced the Warriors with 19 points and six rebounds.
Aquinas will travel to Chicago, Illinois next week and play three games at the St. Xavier Holiday Tournament.
