Saints Save Best for Last

04/25/2012 – The men's golf team rose from the ashes to claim a second place finish at the WHAC Championships. The championships were hosted by Davenport University at Stonewater Country Club over the last two days. Madonna claimed the team championship finishing 15 strokes in front of Aquinas. The Saints, who finished seventh during the fall jamboree season, pieced together their best rounds of the season when they needed it the most.

The Saints were led by Cody Britton who shot a two day total of 232 (+19) to claim second place overall. Britton, a sophomore who hales from Cedar Springs, was three shots off the pace of meet medalist, Vince Carango of Madonna and carded the best score (71) on the second day of the tournament. The Saints also received a strong performance from Alex Smith (7th place - 237 strokes). Mitch Kimball (22nd place - 249 strokes) and Andrew Kish (24th place - 250 strokes) rounded out the scoring for the Saints.
