05/04/2012 – The women's softball team, which is in the midst of the WHAC Tournament, was well represented on the 2012 All-WHAC Softball selections. Overall the Saints finished third in the WHAC and are currently sporting a 27-21 record.
The Saints were represented by Whitney Stratton, Ashley Pickel and Renae Tubergen on the All-Conference First Team. Stratton supplied the power in the Saints offense as she hit six home runs and collected 45 RBI's. Tubergen, who also was named to the All-WHAC Academic Team, led the Saints with 16 doubles and batted at a .365 clip, while Pickel led the Saints with 28 runs scored.
Joining Tubergen on the All-Conference Academic Team was Whitney Stratton, Courtney Bishop, Kim Lohman and Taylor Turcott. Sophomore Rebecca Shineldecker and Sam Klinkner garnered All-WHAC Honorable Mention accolades for their play, while Kim Lohman was Aquinas' representative on the Champions of Character Team.
