Lounds, Saints Make Quick Work of Panthers

10/06/2010 – The women's volleyball netted a road victory at Davenport as the Saints won easily in three games. The win improves the Saints overall record to 9-10 and 4-3 in league play, while Davenport drops to 13-8 and 5-3 in the conference. The Saints have now rattled off three straight wins and seemed to be poised to make a run at the top contenders in the WHAC.

Mollie Lounds was everywhere for the Saints as the senior led the Saints with 17 kills and three blocks. Katie Vander Meer orchestrated the attack as she recorded 31 assists, six digs and four blocks. Defensively Sarah LeClair led the Saints with 19 digs. The Saints were in control from start to finish as Aquinas cruised to victory (25-14, 25-14 and 25-9).

The Saints will return to action on Friday as they host #13 Indiana Tech (21-4, 8-0) at Forest Hills Northern High School at 7:30 p.m.
