Saints Extend Winning Streak to Six

11/11/2012 – The men's hockey team completed a weekend sweep of Lansing Community College to extend their winning streak to six. The Saints improved to 10-2 on the season and 2-0 in conference play, while the Stars dropped to 1-7 overall and to 0-3 in the MCHC West.

After taking the Friday night affair at the Summit Centre in Lansing 8-4, the Saints returned to Griff's Ice House on Saturday looking to protect home ice. A wild and wooly shootout proceeded with the Saints prevailing 10-7. Carson Miller led the Saints with a hat trick, while Matt Krzykwa added a pair of goals. Jake Stille was credited with the victory in net as he recorded 40 saves.

The Saints will now host Calvin (7-3) on Friday night in a key conference battle from Griff's Ice House. The game will be broadcasted live on Michigan Sports Radio starting at 8:20 p.m.
