Saints Compete at Cardinal Classic

12/04/2012 – The men's and women's bowling teams traveled to Muncie, Indiana this past weekend to compete in the Cardinal Classic hosted by Ball State. The tournament was a Baker format (five bowlers with each bowling two frames each per game).

In the first day of play the men ended the day by upsetting #4 Ohio State, posting impressive 220 and 212 games during the set. Travis Hunt was solid all tournament in the lead off position and all members of the team worked hard to contribute. The Saints demonstrated a very balanced attack all weekend, helping to lead them to their best showing in a tournament in their first year of play. The Saints ended the weekend in sixth place out of 14 teams.

The women are working hard to find their marks and are coming together as a team. The Saints are still in search of consistent play and the ability to pick up shares. Overall the women placed tenth at the tournament.

Both teams travel to Southfield this weekend to compete in the third WHAC Jamboree hosted by Lawrence Tech.
