Men's Cross Country Finishes Second

10/08/2010 – The #7 nationally ranked men's cross country team finished 2nd at the Michigan Intercollegiate Championships today. The Saints were only outdistanced by DIII national power Calvin College.

Aquinas had a shakeup at the top of their order as injury and sickness led to some new faces leading the Saints. Devin Lea was first to cross the finish for the Saints as he placed 7th in a time of 26:16. Jim Janisse led a pack of four Saints who all crossed the line within 13 seconds of each other. Janisse placed 18th, while Kolin Stickney (21st), Dustin Heiler (24th) and Kevin Mahar (25th) rounded out the scoring for the Saints.

Aquinas will return to action in two weeks when they host the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge at Riverside Park.
