12/17/2012 – The men's hockey team continued its successful inaugural season by posting a pair of wins over Holy Cross this past weekend. The Saints improved to 14-6 on the season, while the Saints from South Bend fell to 11-11 overall. Aquinas currently is sitting in seventh place in the ACHA North with 26 points.
After posting a 5-2 victory in Indiana, the Saints returned to home ice on Saturday night to close out the 2012 portion of their schedule. A team effort was used to defeat Holy Cross 7-2. Six different Saints found the back of the net to complete the two game sweep. Matt Daniels was credited with the win as he stopped 29 of 31 shots on goal.
Aquinas goals were recorded by Hugh Ingalls, Jimmy McDonagh, Carson Miller, Brendan Sturr and Christian Potter. Lucas Nasdrasik led the attack with bookend goals for the Saints.
Aquinas will resume play on January 12th when they host Michigan State at Griff's Ice House at 5:20 p.m.
