10/16/2010 – The women's volleyball team defeated Concordia three games to zero in WHAC action last night from Ann Arbor. The victory improves the Saints record to 6-4 in the WHAC and 13-11, while the loss drops the Cardinals to 0-10 in league play and 5-21 overall.
The Saints made quick work of the Cardinals as Aquinas won the match in three games. Aquinas dominated play (25-12, 25-10 and 25-7) and look to continue their climb in the WHAC standings. The Saints were led by captains Mollie Lounds and Katie Vander Meer who recorded seven kills and 18 assists respectively. Defensively Sarah LeClair contributed 18 digs.
The Saints will return to action on Monday as Aquinas hosts Purdue North Central at 7 p.m. in the new Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center.
