10/21/2010 – The women's soccer team used great goal play and an efficient offense to score the 2-1 victory over Indiana Tech. The Saints improved to 2-2 in the WHAC and 5-11 overall, while the Warriors slipped to 1-3 in league play and 7-9 on the season.
Rande Siroky wasted little time as she gave the Saints the early 1-0 advantage as she scored her second goal of the season in the second minute of play. The game remained tied until the 71st minute when Indiana Tech's Jess Stanton evened the score at one apiece. As regulation was coming to a close, Aquinas' Jaime Tomaszewski scored the eventual game winner in the 81st minute. Jaime's goal was her fourth on the season. Even though the Saints were outshot 28-6, the Saints made the most of their opportunities to come away with the conference win. Kelsey Duley was a force in net as she saved 15 shots on goal.
The Saints will return to action on Saturday as they host Madonna (2-1-1, 2-6-4) in a key WHAC showdown at 12:30 p.m.
