Women's Golf Place 5th at St. Francis

04/07/2013 – The women's golf team placed 5th out of 12 schools at the St. Francis (Ill.) Spring Invitational in Joliet, Illinois.

The host Fighting Saints claimed third overall, while Bethel took home the team title by nine strokes. North Central's Mary-Kate Rohn was crowned the individual medalist. Aquinas shot a total of 686 strokes and was led by Alicia Flood who placed eighth overall and carded (+25) over the two days. Aquinas also received scoring efforts from Abby Hagan (13th), Morgan Leep (24th) and Valerie Muyskens (24th).

The Saints will return to action this weekend as they travel to Fort Wayne to play in a tournament hosted by St. Francis (Ind.) at Brookwood Golf Club
