04/07/2013 – After splitting a pair of games with Robert Morris on Friday, the Saints were flawless in their upset sweep of the 8th ranked Tigers. The weekend trip improved the Saints record to 12-9, while Olivet Nazarene slipped to 19-3 on the season.
After spotting the Tigers a three run lead, the Saints stormed back to score four in the fourth to secure the win. A two run single by Renae Tubergen tied the game at three a piece. The eventual game winning hit came off the bat of Torie Lowe whose double scored Tubergen and gave the Saints a 4-3 lead. Caitlyn Hensel closed the door on Olivet Nazarene the rest of the way as the Saints righter limited the Tigers to one hit over the final four innings to improve her season record to 3-1. Olivia Hrymak also picked up a pair of hits in the Saints victory.

Aquinas 4 6 0 (11-9)
The back half of the doubleheader belonged to Renae Tubergen. The senior from Ionia went 2-5 with two home runs and five RBI's. A two run blast in the first kick started the Saints offense, while a three run bomb in the top of the seventh broke open a 4-4 tie. Hrymak once again played a starring role in the batters box as the freshman collected a pair of doubles and a run batted in. The combination of Giarmo and Shineldecker allowed four runs on eight hits to secure the Aquinas victory. The victories marked some of the biggest wins ever for the Saints with Coach Crystal Laska at the helm.

The Saints will open conference play at Davenport (17-8-1) on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
