04/03/2013 – The men's lacrosse team opened CCLA play on the short end of a 15-4 scoreboard. The victory improved the Lakers record to 3-5 overall and to 1-0 in league play, while the Saints fell to 0-1 in the CCLA West and to 3-7 on the season.
The first period saw the Lakers stake claim to an early 3-1 advantage. On their home turf Grand Valley extended their lead to 9-3 at the half. The Saints, who were looking to mount a second half comeback, were quickly denied as the Lakers outscored Aquinas 5-0 in the third and would prevail 15-4 to brake a three game losing skid.
The Saints received goals from Kyle Foley, Josh Jeszke, Casey Coretti and Zach Brancheau.
Aquinas will return to action with a contest at Indiana Tech (1-5) on Saturday.
