04/12/2013 – The women's lacrosse team defeated Davenport 19-7 to advance to Saturday's WHAC Championship at Indiana Tech. The victory improved the Saints record to 12-4 on the season, while the Panthers fell to 7-8 overall.
The two teams were entertaining each other for the third time in the last nine days. The Saints were victorious in the previous two and needed the sweep to advance to Saturday's final. The first half concluded with the Saints holding an 8-3 lead.
Aquinas continued to roll during the second half as Lindsay Barrett found the back of the net five times. Breanne Stockall was credited with the victory as she stopped 7-of-14 shots on goal.
The Saints will travel to Fort Wayne on Saturday to battle the Warriors of Indiana Tech for the tournament championship.
