Saints Finish 7th at WHAC Championships

04/24/2013 – The men's golf team concluded their season with a seventh place showing at the WHAC Championships. The championships were hosted by Davenport University at Stonewater Country Club over the last two days. The host Panthers claimed the team championship finishing eleven strokes in front of second place Madonna. The Saints, who finished seventh during the fall jamboree season, could not inch up the leader board during the spring tournament.

The Saints were led by Mitch Kimball who shot a two day total of 226 (+13) to claim 14th place overall. Kimball, a senior who hales from East Grand Rapids, was nine shots off the pace of meet medalist, Zack Feher of Davenport. The Saints also received scoring performance from Patrick O'Brien (30th place - 235 strokes), Cody Britton (32nd place - 236 strokes) and John DeAngelis (37th place - 236 strokes).

Earning All-WHAC Academic honors were Cody Britton, John DeAngelis, JT Scollin, Michael Wolfe and Mitch Kimball for Aquinas. DeAngelis was also named the Saints representative on the Champions of Character squad.
