10/28/2010 – Aquinas scored five unanswered goals in the second half to defeat Indiana Tech 5-0. With the victory the Saints improved to 4-1 in the WHAC and 13-4 overall, while the Warriors slip to 2-3 in league play and 10-7 overall.
After a scoreless first half, the Saints offense was kick started by Jeovani Pantoja's two penalty kick goals in the 50th and 54th minute of play. Pantoja has now accounted for twelve goals on the season. The goals continued to mount up late in the game as Michael Gagnon recorded his first career goal in the 84th minute and Casey Higgason notched his third goal of the season in the 87th. Gagnon was not quite ready to call it a day as he added his second goal of the game in the contests weaning moments. Jesse Guevara-Lehker was awarded the victory as he recorded three saves in net for the Saints.
Aquinas will travel to Davenport on Saturday with the WHAC regular season title on the line. The Saints and Panthers will do battle starting at 3 p.m.
