Saints Fill in the "Blank"

08/14/2013 – After a two month search, the Saints have found their man. Owen Blank has been chosen to take over the head coaching duties of the women's lacrosse program effective immediately. The position became available when Frank Rogers accepted a position at Brevard College in North Carolina earlier this summer.

Blank's resume is deeply rooted in the lacrosse scene in the state of Michigan. After a successful high school career, Owen went on to star for the Michigan State Spartans. Blank's coaching career started at the University of Michigan-Dearborn where he served as head coach for three seasons. After his stint with the Wolves he went back to his alma mater to serve as the assistant coach for the Spartans. Blank would eventually be promoted to head coach at MSU in 2008 before moving to Kalamazoo for two years to head the Western Michigan University program.

Blank's engineering career led him back to the Lansing area three years ago. During this time he has also acted as the girl’s lacrosse coach at Lansing Waverly High School. Blank has served as a board member with the Central College Lacrosse Association as the secretary, division chair and currently is in his fifth year as commissioner. Blank also serves on the board of US Lacrosse’s Michigan Chapter and continues to play competitively with both the Detroit Coney Bogs and Old Woodward’s.
