Saints Place Fourth at Battle of Blackthorn

09/15/2013 – The women's golf team placed fourth out of twelve squads in South Bend, Indiana in a tournament hosted by Bethel College.

The host Pilots claimed the team title by four strokes over Indiana Tech, while Wiebke Schlender was medalist for the Warriors by shooting a two day total of 150.

The Saints were led by Alicia Flood, who finished the 36 holes tied for fourth place with a 17 over par. Flood's low score (79) on Saturday was a key factor in the Saints fourth place team finish. Other Saints factoring into the scoring were Kristina Raiz (+25 - 21st place), Morgan Leep (+26 - 24th place) and Valerie Muuskens (+26 - 24th place).

The Saints will return to the links next Saturday at the first WHAC Jamboree of the season. The event will contested at Lenawee Country Club and hosted by Siena Heights.
