Focus on Michael Crump, Adjuct Professor of Business

Michael Crump is a Partner and Managing Director of MindsOnFire Interactive, an applications service provider (ASP) of on-line training and ecommerce services. His business background is in human resources, training design and delivery, training management, and learning evaluation. He has served as the senior HR/Training executive of two Fortune 200 companies, the Director of Executive Development Programs for two very large universities and as Practice Head for one of the world's largest training firms.
 
Immediately prior to joining Stone River Interactive he was founder and Managing Director of Strategy Research, an organizational and training research firm in Boston and Hong Kong. Before starting his own firm, Mr. Crump had served as Practice head for the Quality/Customer Focus Practice of the Forum Corporation (Boston) for three years. He came to that position from Lincoln National Corporation (LNC) where he was the Corporate VP of Organizational Development and Quality.
 
At LNC He managed the Corporate Quality and Management Development Programs for nine subsidiaries. He was instrumental in implementing large-scale computer-based training to a national managed care service network in support of a major reorganization. Prior to LNC and immediately after leaving the academic environment, he served as Director of Human Resources for Smith Kline Pharmaceuticals (R & D Division).
 
Before entering the private sector he served on the faculties of Syracuse University and Virginia Tech as Coordinator and Director of Executive Development programs. In both cases he was directly involved with the Centers for Instructional Development and taught in the academic departments. He served as an aircraft commander in the USAFR during the Vietnam War.
