PARKING REGULATIONS
These regulations apply to Aquinas College only. Streets around the campus are governed by State laws and Grand Rapids, East Grand Rapids and Grand Rapids Township ordinances.
- Parking and driving on campus are permitted in accordance with these regulations which are designed to control movement of vehicles and provide for the safety of the Aquinas College Community. Anyone operating a vehicle on campus is responsible for being familiar with and complying with all traffic and parking regulations. Removal of signs will not alter parking restrictions and violations will be enforced.
- Parking permits allow parking in designated parking lots or parking areas within lots. The responsibility for finding a legal parking space rests with the vehicle operator. The individual registering a vehicle with the College shall be held responsible for any parking violation committed. Lack of space is not considered a valid excuse for violation of these regulations.
- Aquinas College assumes no responsibility for care of, damage to, and/or protection of any vehicle or its contents at any time while it is operated on or parked on the campus. All vehicles should be locked when left unattended.
- Drivers shall observe the College traffic and parking regulations and drive safely, giving pedestrians the right of way at all times.
- Aquinas College reserves the right to ticket, immobilize and/or tow any vehicle at the owners expense that is in violation of established parking regulations. Persistent violators, in addition, may have their parking privileges denied.
- All campus stop signs are enforced. Vehicles are required to come to a complete stop at all stop signs, regardless of the presence of pedestrians.
