APPEAL PROCESS
The Aquinas College Traffic and Safety Board will review written appeals from individuals challenging parking violations. The Board consists of representatives of faculty, staff and students. The Board shall adhere to all the procedures and responsibilities described herein. An appeal should be based on the fact that the violation notice was issued contrary to the Aquinas College Parking Rules and Regulations or in error. The appeal process follows:
An appeal should be based on the fact that the violation was issued contrary to the Aquinas College Parking Rules and Regulations or in error. A lost ticket, forgetfulness, parking only for a short period, failure to display a parking permit, and/or not seeing the signs are unacceptable grounds for appeal. Appeal forms may be obtained from the Campus Safety Department located at the west end of the Wege parking lot. The Campus Safety Department provides clerical support for the processing of appeals only. They are not involved in the decisions made by the Board. During the school year, appeals are processed on a bi-weekly basis.
