St. Thomas Aquinas' Prayer for Scholars

Ineffable Creator,

You who are the true source of life and wisdom and the Principle on which everything depends, be so kind as to infuse in my obscure intelligence a ray of your splendor that may take away the darkness of sin and ignorance.

Grant me keenness of understanding, ability to remember, measure and easiness of learning, discernment of what I read, rich grace with words.

Grant me strength to begin well my studies; guide me along the path of my efforts; give them a happy ending.
You who are true God and true Man, Jesus my Savior, who lives and reigns forever.

In his Address to the Members of the Diplomatic Corps Accredited to the Holy See, Pope Francis remarked that 2015 "will see the continuation of two significant processes: the drawing up of the Post-2015 Development Agenda, with the adoption of Sustainable Development Goals, and the drafting of a new Climate Change Agreement. The latter is urgently needed." >Read More

Thanksgiving Prayer

This Thanksgiving let those of us who have much and those who have little gather at the welcoming table of the Lord. At this blessed feast, may rich and poor alike remember that we are called to serve one another and to walk together in God's gracious world. With thankful hearts we praise our God who like a loving parent denies us no good thing.

Pope Francis Prayer for Peace

Lord God of peace, hear our prayer!

We have tried so many times and over so many years to resolve our conflicts by our own powers and by the force of our arms. How many moments of hostility and darkness have we experienced; how much blood has been shed; how many lives have been shattered; how many hopes have been buried… But our efforts have been in vain. >Read More

Chaplain Profile: Fr. Stan Drongowski
Fr. Stan Drongowski Aquinas College has long been grounded and guided by Catholicism in the Dominican tradition. This spirit of "Dominicanism" suffuses our identity, and is reflected by the school's close relationship with the Dominican order. This year, Aquinas College welcomes Fr. Stan Drongowski, O.P. as the new chaplain and pastor to our campus community.

Ordained in 1979, Fr. Drongowski found his vocation to priestly ministry during his undergraduate studies at Kent State University. >Read More
