Where do I find help?
 
You may use the following resources to find helpful information regarding technology at Aquinas.
 
ITS "Essentials" Section
These web pages collect a wide variety of technology resources relating to the Aquinas network. There are three versions available: Student Essentials, Faculty/Staff Essentials, and New Employee Essentials.
 
The Aquinas Online Knowledge Base
The Knowledge Base is an online collection of web pages designed to provide answers to common questions and problems relating to the Aquinas network environment. Information is available on a wide range of software packages including online applications. The Knowledge Base is only available on-campus, through the College's Intranet at http://campus.aquinas.edu.
 
Online Documentation On The Aquinas Network
Many ITS training documents can be found on the Aquinas network (on-campus only) through the common H: drive. Feel free to view these documents, stored in the H:\employee\cc\training folder.
 
Built-In Help Functions For Network Software
Most software on the Aquinas network includes it's own help resources. Software help can generally be accessed from a "Help" menu on that application's menu bar.
 
Windows Help
If you require help relating to a specific function of Microsoft Windows, you may search through the Windows Help files for assistance. This can be accessed by clicking the Help icon from the Start Menu. Further information on Microsoft's products can be found at their online Knowledge Base at http://search.support.microsoft.com.
 
ITS Information Line
By calling ext. 5050, you can receive information on a wide variety of topics. See the ITS Information Line information below:
 

Extension 5050 is answered by call processing.  Press the corresponding number to obtain information about:

  1. System status and availability **
  2. Normal and revised lab hours (due to reservations or break periods) *
  3. AQnet information and AQnet Support Wizard*
  4. Computer account access information *
  5. Password change information (forgotten password or a request to change a password) *
  6. To speak with a Technology Assistant located across the hall from the Student Computer Lab (AB 355) during open lab hours

AQnet Support Wizard
Students connecting to AQnet can request help online through the AQnet Support Wizard. After filling out the online form, a Residential Technology Assistant (RTA) will contact you to discuss and assist you with your problem.
 
Safari Technology Books Online
Available online through the Grace Hauenstein Library, the Safari Collection contains current books on software, hardware and other computer issues.
