To use your computer on AQnet, you must first set up your operating system. It is recommended that you first visit windowsupdate.com in order to download the latest patches, security updates, and service releases. Also, make sure you have the original installation media your computer was installed with (i.e. Windows 98 CD) as you may be prompted for it during the setup process. When you are ready to configure Windows for AQnet, follow the steps below.

1. Click on the Start menu, Settings, and then on Control Panel
2. Double-click on Network
   
3. Select TCP/IP for your network card and click Properties
   
4. Click the IP Address tab and then select Obtain an IP Address Automatically
   
5. Click on the DNS Configuration tab and then select Disable DNS
   
6. Click OK in the TCP/IP Properties window
7. Click OK in the Network window
8. When promted, click Yes to reboot
