Applications for expedited review of research involving human subjects are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
Effective Fall Semester 2012: Applications for full review of research involving human subjects are reviewed once a month, and are due by 5 p.m. on the first Monday of the month.
Aquinas College supports the use of research to advance knowledge. When research requires the use of human subjects, researchers must take efforts to protect their subjects. To ensure that this occurs, the College has established a policy for review of research involving human subjects, and an Institutional Review Board (IRB) to oversee this process for all research under the auspices of Aquinas College that includes human participants.
