  • American Psychological Association's official website. Lists contacts to participating psychologists and searches topics from aging to violence.
  • APA Style guides and help sheets on the internet for print and electronic sources.
  • Association for Psychological Science Houses information of interest primarily to professionals, through its journal, The Observer, available online through the site. Also included is a report on advocacy activities, a section on resources for teaching, news about annual conventions and Psychology links.
  • Buros Center for Testing. Access this site to find citations to reviews of psychological and educational tests. Use the subject index to find tests among the nineteen classified subject headings.
  • Current topics in Psychology. The Psychology Reference Guide lists comprehensive general resources for professionals, parents, and students. The Quick Reference Guide is designed to be a user-friendly resource for instant, quality information on specific topics in Psychology. The selections offer clear and useful information in the form of a resource page, summary paper or review article.

Getting Started: Reference Books
Reference Books are great resources to use at the beginning of your research because they can provide an overview of your topic, including good background information and a discussion of the important issues and concerns of the topic.
