"Our Town" To Be Presented By Aquinas College Players - Sep 30, 2003

September 30, 2003 - GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN (September 30, 2003) - Thornton Wilder's 1939 Pulitzer Prize winning play "Our Town" will be presented by the Aquinas College Players at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9; Friday, October 10; and Saturday, October 11; and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 12. The play will be held in the newly constructed Aquinas College Performing Arts Center, 1703 Robinson Road, S.E.

Tickets are $8 for general admission; $6 for faculty/staff/senior and $4 for students and can be purchased by calling 616-456-5535. Anthony Guest, the director of the Aquinas College Theatre Program and assistant professor of theatre in the Aquinas Communication Department, will be directing the production.

"Our Town" takes the viewer on a journey of life in 1903 in Grover's Corners, a small town sleepy where life moves along in an unassuming manner. The viewer experiences the joys and pains of life in the early twentieth century almost as a resident of the New England town. The story unfolds partially through the narration of the stage manager. Wilder's skill with language provides the emotion that makes the story so touchingly come to life.
