Description of Services:
Aquinas students learn about urban issues by assisting with service projects in New York's inner city for one week, October 17-26, 2008. Activities include working with St. John the Baptist Church on a variety of projects depending on the current needs. Students are expected to assist on a daily basis, participate in parish activities and work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment. The group will also visit Covenant house to learn about homeless youth. The Aquinas group serves the community in a variety of ways to interact, to understand and learn more about people living in an urban setting.
