Welcome
The Science Initiative was launched in the spring of 2004 by the Natural Science, Nursing and Mathematics Division of Aquinas College with the support of the college's Advancement Office. Its institutional goals are to enrich the science curriculum and increase divisional resources. By doing so we provide our students with an academic program that allows them to realize their potential to become well-trained and effective scientists.
In order to achieve the goals we established, we turned to our family of science alumni. We established a core group of both recent and past graduates along with the faculty and administrators of the Natural Science, Nursing and Mathematics (NSNM) Division to form the Science Initiative Advisory Committee (SIAC).
The SIAC asked our science alumni to support its efforts and they responded enthusiastically. |

Science Initiative Accomplishments
The Science Initiative has funded the purchase of new science equipment; it has created endowments to support student scholarships, research programs, and equipment support; and it has begun planning to upgrade the facilities in Albertus Hall.
Explore this site to see what has been accomplished and what yet remains to be done. At the end of your visit, please consider making a contribution to the Science Initiative and joining us in our efforts to improve undergraduate science education at Aquinas College. |
