Director, Student Support Services

Monica Tyler is the Director of Student Support Services. Each year Monica identifies and selects 160 students, who meet eligibility criteria, to the SSS Program. As Director, Monica meets individually with each newly admitted participant to develop an Individual Support Plan. The support plan is designed to improve the participant's basic academic skills, technology skills, critical writing skills, study skills, and math skills resulting in retention of concepts, and the ability to transfer learning from one course to another. The support plans are monitored and re-assessed as needed.

Monica oversees the SSS Program, assuring that students receive the help necessary to continue their education at Aquinas, graduate, and secure admission into graduate or professional programs.
