| Aquinas Fund - A Worthwhile Investment |

Bridget Harrigan |
|
We are excited to announce some changes within the Advancement Department with the feeling that these adjustments will best maximize the talents and skills of all those involved. Cecilia Cunningham, who has led the Aquinas Fund for nine years, has developed wonderful relationships with many supporters of the college. Her new role as Director of Major Gifts will allow her to continue to engage those people in the mission of the college. Kate Davis and Bridget |
| Harrigan, as the new Co-Directors, will bring a new perspective and energy to the Aquinas Fund. Their previous experiences as Manager of Advancement Strategies/Gift Planning and Coordinator of the Phone Center respectively, make them the logical choice to build on the work done by Cecilia in the past. |

| Kate and Bridget are more than pleased to begin this new role. They expressed, "We are eager in our planning for the new fiscal year by rolling out a new Giving Society program, breathing new life into our young Alumni initiatives, and re-evaluating all of our events. Additionally, we are passionate in further engaging new donors, as well as developing the current gifts. We believe that by utilizing new avenues of communication, such as social media, our website, and email, we can begin to communicate with young Alumni as thoroughly as we do our traditional donors. All in all, this upcoming year will be a gratifying new experience for us, and we look forward to working with all of you." |
| |
| Please congratulate Cecilia, Kate and Bridget on their new roles! |

Alumni participation for the Aquinas Fund is currently just above 14%. With each new and increased gift we were able to leverage the Wege Foundation $250,000 match. We are so grateful to Peter Wege for his generosity over the years and his encouragement to others to give. |

|
Mr. Wege coined his environmental philosophy with the phrase Economicology (Economy + Ecology). The Wege Foundation also has four other missions: Education, Health, The Arts and Community Service. Together with the Aquinas College mission that "emphasizes career preparation focused on leadership and service to others, and fosters a commitment to lifelong learning dedicated to the pursuit of truth and the common good.", a strong teamwork has been forged to grow the funds necessary to support students. |

|
It's the spirit of thanks and commitment to "paying it forward" for future generations that assure Aquinas will continue to be a great source for Catholic education today and for countless tomorrows. Thanks to all alumni and friends as well! |

| Each year, Aquinas awards nearly $10 million in merit and need-based scholarships to bright and worthy students who wish to attend the College. The Aquinas Fund is the primary, on-going funding source for these scholarships. It is financed through generous gifts from alumni, friends, foundations, and corporate donors who believe strongly in the power of an excellent education. |
