During spring 2012, student in SH329 Chicano Literature, had the opportunity to meet with AQ President Dr. Juan Olivarez and Spanish professor Dr. Marcos Romero. Both men have a Chicano heritage and helped the students relate previous class topics to the life experiences of the AQ community.

Alumna Profile: Tricia Hilgendorf
History teacher and AQ alumna Tricia Hilgendorf '01 has been selected as the Michigan recipient for the 2012 James Madison Foundation Fellowship. Established through Congress to further the teaching of the Constitution, the fellowship will allow Hilgendorf to pursue her Master's degree.
