AQ senior Brianna Scott knew she belonged at Aquinas when she opened an AQ brochure that read "Open Your Mind and Say Ahh." "When I came for my first AQDay and I put my foot down, I was just - at home," she said. "I felt at home already, and I loved the trees. I was just so excited."
Michael Stephenson’s studies at Aquinas often featured a special emphasis on the Middle East. Now an instructor in Saudi Arabia, Stephenson '09 has been empowered by the core values of an Aquinas education as he learns to live and thrive in a vastly different culture.
Joining the Peace Corps after graduation, Adam Hii '11 is currently living and working in Botswana. "I knew that I wanted to try and make some kind of difference in the world," Hii said. "My AQ experience really livened my passion for service."
AQ junior Emily Smith was named the NAIA National Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for her performances at the Calvin College Invitational. She won both the shot put and the weight throw in personal best fashion. Emily is currently ranked 14th in the country in the shot put and 16th in the weight.
