Most unique experience at AQ? My roommate my freshman year taught me a lot about the differences in people and how to handle those differences. It was definitely a good experience for me.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I wanted to be an Ambassador because I enjoy guiding people. I want to help prospective students to love Aquinas as much as I do.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? I like the atmosphere at Aquinas. It's one large community that I feel comfortable in.

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: I spend my summers doing missions trips and my favorite job to do is roofing! I was also voted class clown in high school.
Most unique experience at AQ? One of the most unique experiences was probably my service learning trip to Selma, Alabama over spring break. I have done mission trips, but this was quite different. I met so many new people and had a great time.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I heard that it was the best job on campus! It sounded like so much fun, and I love meeting new and helping new people.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? I love the people and the support group I have formed. The atmosphere is so comforting and people really do care about you, whether it be friends, classmates, or professors.

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: I have an emergency jar of Dove Dark Chocolate. Whenever I am stresses, I like to eat one and read the Dove promise message. If it is a god message, I'll keep the wrapper.
Most unique experience at AQ? In order to enforce recycling among my staff members, I ran after one and tried to tackle him when he tried to throw away plastic bottles. Unfortunately, I never got that far and slipped cartoon-style on the floor. When he rushed to my aid, I tried to pull him down, screaming "You're killing the Earth!!!!" To say the least, everyone recycled after that.
Why did you want to be a an AQ Ambassador? Being an AQ Ambassador gives me the opportunity to help in one of the biggest decisions a person has to make. During my tour, getting to hear the personal stories of the ambassador ultimately helped me in my decision. I hope that a tour and hearing about my personal stories will help in a student's decision about Aquinas.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? When I wake up in the morning, I know that I am getting a great education from faculty that care about my future decisions. Not only will they go out of their way to make sure that I am doing well, but they will offer advice about what happens after I leave AQ.

Most unique experience at AQ? Just the overall experience of meeting new people, undergoing exciting experiences and the freedom of being on one's own for the first time.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I love being involved, talking to and meeting new people, and helping others. Being an Aquinas Ambassador not only allows me to do all of the aforementioned things, but many more besides.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? The closeness of the faculty and students, the small class sizes and the amazing opportunities has to get involved here on campus.

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: I love baking for other people: cakes, cupcakes, brownies, you name it! Knitting is also a fun hobby that I use to help take away any anxiety.
Most unique experience at AQ? My most unique experience at AQ was being able to be a member and then be nominated to be Assistant coordinator for Community Action Volunteers of Aquinas. Through my active participation in this club, I have been able to truly reach out to those in need in the community of Grand Rapids in all sorts of ways. Through this group, I have made even more great friends who all enjoy doing the same things that I do: helping others.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I wanted to be an AQ Ambassador because I wanted to be able to work directly with potential students and share with them all the things that not only made me choose to come to Aquinas, but also those aspects of AQ life that make me love and appreciate everything it has to offer.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? My favorite thing about AQ is that it is always so lively. There was never one day on campus where I was stuck in my dorm room wondering what I should do because there were so many groups on campus that are dedicated to making every year of college a memorable and fun one. Also, AQ is one big family where everyone looks out for each other. Everyone knows everyone, whether it be as an acquaintance or a close friend.

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: I am a co-founder of the Ultimate Frisbee Club at Aquinas and I am currently the president of the club. It has turned into one of my favorite sports to play since I have been at Aquinas.
Most unique experience at AQ? My most unique experience at Aquinas College would have to be applying for the ambassador position which included filming an interesting video.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I really enjoy representing the college at different functions and it is a great way to meet people and make connections. It is also very rewarding to see a student on campus his/her freshman year and knowing that I gave them their tour which really could have...made all the difference in the world!
What is your favorite thing about AQ? It's tough to pick one thing but I would have to say how easy it is to meet not only students, but also professors. Also the fact that the professors don't know the students just as a number, they really know who you are and how you're doing in their class which makes it easy to talk to them if you need help.

Something fun/Interesting/Unique about you: Love to travel, 100% Polish, was a full time volunteer for a year before attending AQ.
Most Unique Experience at AQ: Probably making the application video to become an ambassador. I spent the weekend running around in freezing cold weather all over campus dressed up, using silly props, having tea parties. All made possible with the help and humor of a great friend.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? To approach a two- fold goal: 1) To share with future or prospective students and families what it is that Aquinas has to ensure, a rewarding college experience as well as its ability to provide each student for what he/she needs to become a success in their field of choice. 2) To use my experience of working at the "heart" of the college to become more appreciative, aware of opportunities and to grow.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? The excellent education, personal attention given by professors and staff, and the healthy and beautiful atmosphere created by being placed in the middle of a thriving community and energizing natural setting.

Most unique experience at AQ? Being able to study abroad in Tully Cross, Ireland (2009)
Why did you want to be an AQ ambassador? I realize and appreciate all of the great things this institution has to offer. I want to share all of AQ's hidden beauty, wonders, and opportunities with others. Also, being an ambassador is a great way to network not only with fellow peers but with the staff and alumni of Aquinas College.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? 1. The trees- they add so much to the campus, the fall is absolutely beautiful.
2. The location- near the lake, downtown, and surrounding colleges/universities.
3. The people - very friendly and want to help you to be the best that you can possibly be.
4. The staff and teachers always have your best interest in mind.
5. The on-campus opportunities - jobs, clubs, organizations, housing, internships, etc.

What is your favorite thing about AQ? Being able to have the opportunity to be more than a one dimension student. I'm not just a student but I have been an athlete, president of a club, mentor, and more.

I knew that becoming an ambassador would initially put me outside of my comfort zone, but could also become one of the best work experiences I have during my years at Aquinas. I decided that learning to give tours (and participating in other numerous Ambassador duties) was important to my development as an adult and my personal ambitions to become versatile. Not to mention, I often find myself wandering about our green campus, beneath leafy trees - adrift in serenity - and dreaming about how much I love this place. It has become a joy to share with prospective students.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? The sunken rose garden at Holmdene.

Most unique experience at AQ? I love playing different sports on the soccer field. Even though that may not seem like a unique experience, there is nothing better than having fun on the field on a spring day!
Why did you want to be an AQ ambassador? I like meeting new people, and telling them about AQ. I get paid to talk to people. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

Most unique experience at AQ? Paul Wizniuk and I made sail boats out of the craft supplies in the media center, and raced them in Holmdene garden fountain.
Why did you want to become an AQ Ambassador? I wanted to get to know potential AQ students, as well as get opportunities to talk with alumni and donors.

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: Since this past January I have been practicing yoga. So I basically traded in my running shoes for a yoga mat. Yoga has helped me deepen my religious and spiritual beliefs.
Most unique experience at AQ? One day my Spanish professor brought her dog to class. The college does not allow pets inside the AB so we had class outside by the AMC. We did not mind it because the weather was perfect and we were able to play with our professor's dog.
Why did you want to become an AQ Ambassador? I love Aquinas so much that I want to share my positive experiences with prospective students.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? To me, AQ is a community where everybody knows each other and I will always see somebody I know around campus
