Something fun/interesting/unique about you: When I was a junior in high school, I was chased by a bear in Yellowstone National Park. My friends and I made it out unscathed, but it was probably the biggest adrenaline rush of my life.
Most unique experience at AQ? Studying abroad in Ireland for four months and living with three guys that I had never talked to before. Those were the best four months of my life.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I love Aquinas, and I want to share my love for this school with prospective students and assist them in their college decision process.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? I love the fact that we are a small school, but we are still located in a big city. Grand Rapids is a thriving city with unique events like ArtPrize and an awesome atmosphere. It's a cool city to live in.

Most unique experience at AQ? Studying abroad in Tully Cross, Ireland, and being a Resident Assistant were just some of the things that I will never forget!
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I heard it was the best job on campus; and it is! I wanted to be able to help others make their college decision and show them how amazing Aquinas is.

Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? You get to learn a lot of random tidbits of knowledge about AQ and because my mom gave tours when she attended Aquinas.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? Our Traditions: Mud Tug during Homecoming, Exam Breakfast, and our President carving the Turkey at Wege Thanksgiving.

Most unique experience at AQ? My most unique experience would have to be impromptu ghost hunting at 3am in the morning.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I wanted to be an Ambassador for AQ because I really enjoy this college, I felt it was the best decision of my life so far and I enjoy talking to people and showing them around so it fit perfectly. I also like suits.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? I tell everybody that my favorite thing about AQ is the squirrels, and it’s also part of what pulled me here (unofficially)

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: I love brussel sprouts!
Most unique experience at AQ? I’ve had a lot of new experiences at AQ, but the one that really sticks for me is my service trip to West Virginia during fall break of freshman year. I got to travel to a state I’d never been to; I was able to meet people I’d never met before; I was able to soak up some nature and some silence; I did various construction/home repair projects for a kind community; and of course the icing on the cake was learning how to use scary, electric building tools that I’d never had the guts to try before!
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? Aquinas has given me an amazing college experience so far, and I want to do my part in giving back by showing AND telling prospective students why our college really does make all the difference in the world!
What is your favorite thing about AQ? My favorite thing about AQ is being able to get the personal attention I need to find out WHAT my goals are and HOW to achieve them - Aquinas is chock full of people going out of their way to help pave a clearer path for you; for me, those people have been my roommates, teammates, coaches, peers, and professors.

Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? My Club AQ visit was the deciding factor for me and ever since I saw how tight of a group the ambassadors were and I wanted to be a part of that experience.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? The fact that the soccer field is open for student use!

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: I want to eventually see every country on Earth; my favorite pastimes are soccer, tennis, snowboarding, traveling and watching any and all animal documentaries (they fascinate me). I also recently joined a rugby team!
Most unique experience at AQ? Taking a sculpture class my freshmen year taught by Ron Pederson. During the weekly three hour class I was able to learn personal stories about his rich life. He also offered much encouragement to me not only in art, but my academic and life decisions.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I wanted to be an AQ Ambassador because it allows me to be involved in many aspects of campus life and events. Also, I learn many valuable skills and meet people which can help me succeed in life after Aquinas.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? Among the many aspects that I love about Aquinas, one of the most prevalent features is the rich culture surrounding the college. The College’s location is within a few miles or less from a lake (Gaslight Village), an alternative district (East Town) and a downtown area with a thriving economy rich with opportunities for careers and cultural experiences.

Most unique experience at AQ? Definitely being an Orientation Leader! It is such a crazy whirlwind that week, but totally worth it because we get to hang out with new students all weekend!
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I love Aquinas and I love talking to people about how much I love Aquinas. Seemed like a perfect fit!
What is your favorite thing about AQ? Our community that we create on campus. Everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming. It is a fantastic learning environment, in the classroom and out.

Most unique experience at AQ? Going on a service learning trip to South Dakota and spending a morning in the Badlands with no sleep, after having literally run around an entire random town chasing down ice cream that we almost never succeeded in finding. THAT. was awesome.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I absolutely love getting excited, and I figured the best way for me to use my enthusiasm and energy would be to get people pumped about coming to the school I love being at!
What is your favorite thing about AQ? I love that AQ is a college full of people with many different backgrounds and viewpoints, and I have grown and learned a ton because of it.

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: One of my life goals is to visit all 50 states, and so far I’m over halfway there!
Most unique experience at AQ? I have been able to participate in so many different things, from club trips to Washington, DC to service learning trips abroad, to being taught science through discussions instead of simply being thrown facts and theorems. Aquinas is a great place to explore new ideas, beliefs, and cultures, and allows everyone to develop their interests and find new ones.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I love being at Aquinas, and I wanted to show others how awesome it is to go to school and live here! I really enjoyed my tour when I came to visit campus, and would like to continue extending the hospitality I was shown.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? The campus is so beautiful, and no matter where I’m going, I always run into someone I know. It’s nice to have that connection and proximity with your peers and mentors, and makes campus really feel like a close community.

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: Despite being under the age of fifty, I love playing pinochle, pickleball, racquetball, and listening to the Beatles!
Most unique experience at AQ? On the eve of one of the first snow storms during my freshmen year, a bunch of my friends and I darted to the athletic field. Little did we know that our innocent snow angel fun would evolve into a spontaneous snowball war with the thirty other random people on field.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? College is about stepping out of your comfort zone and discovering who you are as an individual. I envisioned that being ambassador would provide me with an opportunity to embrace this notion.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? Because Aquinas is a liberal arts college, it requires each student to take a variety of general education classes. For me, the assortment of classes has broadened my horizon by giving me the opportunity to delve into fields that I may not have had the chance to explore otherwise.

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: I worked at a roller skating rink for about 3 and half years so one of my favorite things to do is roller skate!
Most unique experience at AQ? Unique...I would have to say orientation weekend my freshman year because I was surrounded by people I had never met, yet there were so many activities we did that made me love the school more. It broke the ice and really made and impact with me.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I really wanted an opportunity to possibly help prospective students in their journey in choosing a college. I wanted those students to see the campus that clicked with me, hopefully getting some to feel the same.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? My favorite thing about AQ is the campus. Everything about it, like the scenery, social aspects, and history really drew me into coming here.

Most unique experience at AQ? My most unique experience at AQ is when my friend Rachel and I went running around campus in the rain on a spring day last spring. We also walked across the river under the PAC and stood on the huge stump!
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I wanted to be an ambassador because I wanted to be able to share with prospective students the great time I’ve had here at AQ. I wanted to help them make their decision and show them everything that Aquinas has to offer. |

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: I still have 2 baby teeth.
Most unique experience at AQ? When the power went out on campus last year and we had to try to get into the building without being able to swipe in. You basically had to be lucky and hope someone was still inside and walked by. Most people went to the library because it had power; but after a couple hours someone pulled the fire alarm…great.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? When I visited Aquinas as a high school senior the tour is what made the biggest difference in my decision to come here. I want to make every students visit as helpful as mine was in deciding to come here.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? I love the atmosphere here. Being a small college is its greatest benefit. We have all the assets a large college has on the campus of a small college. There is so much to do here and in Grand Rapids. |

Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador?I wanted to become an AQ Ambassador because I wanted something more from the college. Also, I wanted to share with prospective students my experiences in order for them to see how Aquinas College is.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? My favorite thing about AQ is the fact that when I walk down the halls Professor’s from my freshman year stop me and ask how I am doing. It makes me feel important and like I am meant to be here.

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: I skipped my high school graduation because I was traveling across Oregon for a service organization, so next spring will be my first official graduation in a while.
Most unique experience at AQ? I was “ice skating” across Wege Pond, thinking it was the greatest thing (which it was while it lasted) and then ice broke and I fell in. And of course Wege Pond is directly outside of the Wege Cafeteria, so the windows were flooded of people watching me crawl my way. Luckily we are at AQ, so there were lots of people that came out to help me!
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I wanted to be an ambassador because when I made the decision to travel out to Michigan to check out Aquinas, I really had no idea what to expect. When my tour guide showed me around campus, I was totally sold. That was four years ago and we still are in touch. From that very first day, it was evident that what makes Aquinas unique is the relationships, long lasting relationships, that you build with members of this community. And as a student ambassador of the amazing opportunity to share that with prospective students.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? The gorgeous campus and people that walk its trails-cheesy sounding I know, but check us out and you’ll totally understand.

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: There is a castle in our family, held by my cousin Cosimo DiMunno, located in the Monopoli/ Bari area. The castle is called Villa Indelli and it overlooks Adriatic Sea. I hope to see it some day!
Most unique experience at AQ? I was the AQ mascot “Nelson the Dog” during some of our basketball games, and I made a free-throw shot during halftime! It was a proud moment.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? Being on the AQ Lacrosse team, I have had the opportunity to show recruits around campus quite a few times. I really enjoyed the experience and I wanted to continue this with other possible incoming AQ students.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? My favorite part about AQ would definitely have to be the wonderful environment that surrounds you. You are surrounded by these beautiful buildings and trees while still in a city where things are always happening. You are really getting the best of both worlds.

Most unique experience at AQ? My most unique experience with Aquinas was studying abroad in Ireland. It was an amazing opportunity that I will never forget! I learned about the culture and the history first hand. I also had the chance to teacher assist in one of the local National Schools.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I wanted to be a Student Ambassador because I love Aquinas! I want prospective students to see Aquinas for what it really is. There are so many opportunities here and it is a place that enables students to succeed.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? My favorite thing about Aquinas is the community. Everyone is extremely friendly and I have always felt welcomed. Aquinas is now my home away from home.

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: I am a little kid at heart and one of my favorite places I have been to is Disney World. The magic clearly does not not go away with age!
Most unique experience at AQ? Having the opportunity to be an orientation leader my second year and helping my group get a sense of how amazing Aquinas is. Another memorable experience was going out on the field with my friends from my floor, taking silly pictures, and star gazing the first week of my freshman year.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I want to show prospective students how much I love going to school at Aquinas and the many fun and cute opportunities there are to get involved in!
What is your favorite thing about AQ? AQ’s campus is so cozy. It does not feel like school, but definitely a home and you get to know people on a more individual basis because of the community environment. I also enjoy that our mascot is a St. Bernard named Nelson. It has always been my dream to have a dog mascot.

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: In case my majors didn’t give me away… I have a serious case of wanderlust. I love travelling and experiencing new cultures. At 15 I went to Germany by myself to live with extended family I have there and have taken advantage of any and every opportunity to go abroad since!
Most unique experience at AQ? The Prof for one of my capstone classes had the whole class (all 10 of us) over to his house where he cooked us all dinner and we watched a movie and talked about its relevance to the class.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador? I get paid to talk to people and show them around a school I love, what’s not to like?
What is your favorite thing about AQ? I love that I know my professors and classmates and that they know me. Many of my Professors at Aquinas have bent over backwards to help me achieve my goals, going above and beyond what is expected of your average professor. People at Aquinas are not just going through the motions, they really care.

Something fun/interesting/unique about you: My close friends and family call me the “Real Elle Woods,” I’ve been playing my trumpet since I was ten, and I’m a shopping addict.
Most unique experience at AQ? My most unique experience at AQ would have to be working the STAR days with Chris Skurka. We had an amazing time connecting with the students by playing games, giving advice, and just hanging out with the incoming freshmen. It created such a great sense of unity by getting to know and interacting with the students before they even start classes. I also loved giving golf cart tours with Adriana at homecoming. It was a blast to give tours and to hear about what has changed at Aquinas. We even got Nelson-our mascot-and the entire homecoming court to ride around with us.
Why did you want to be an AQ Ambassador?I wanted to be an ambassador because I love everything Aquinas stands for. The sense of community and connection to each other is amazing. I wanted to reach out to incoming students and show them what Aquinas has to offer on all different levels-academic, social, and spiritual. It’s so rewarding to give a tour one year and see that student on campus the very next year, knowing that I had a positive impact on their decision.
What is your favorite thing about AQ? I love that there is such a sense of family and community at Aquinas. You see it every year during homecoming when the alumni return for the festivities. Everybody is happy, laughing, and sharing memories and favorite stories. Aquinas is really a family that when you arrive on campus you are truly coming home. It is also amazing that no matter where or when I am walking on campus, I always run into friends. Aquinas is a welcoming environment where there is always a smiling and friendly face on campus.
