Saints Finish 2nd at Cougar Fall Invitational

10/06/2013 – The women's golf team traveled to Fort Wayne, Indiana over the weekend and placed second out of eight schools at the two-day tournament. The eight squads competed at Brookwood Golf Course and was hosted by Cornerstone University.

Indiana Tech claimed the team title by finishing 24 strokes in front of the Saints. The Warriors, Wiebke Schlender (+6) and Courtney Dye (+6), tied for individual medalist honors. Aquinas shot a total of 641 strokes (+65) and was led by Alicia Flood who shot a eleven over to place 4th overall. Other Saints that factored into the team score were Kristina Raiz (+12 - 6th place), Valerie Muyskens (+16 - 8th place) and Morgan Leep (+27 - 20th place).

The Saints will return to action this weekend as they compete in the final WHAC jamboree of the season. The WHAC schools will get together on Friday and Saturday with Lourdes and Northwestern Ohio hosting the two-day event.
