03/20/2014 – Taelor Sanders added one more accolade to her collection as she was named a NAIA All American for women's basketball.
The fifth-year senior from Dewitt concluded her final season by averaging 14.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists per contest. Taelor, who was a First-Team All WHAC performer, shot 44% from the field and 70% from the free throw stripe. Sanders, who missed all of last year with a knee injury, keyed the Saints to a 21-9 record and a fifth place finish in league play. Taelor finished her career with 1,435 points to land her at #7 on the all-time scoring list at Aquinas College.
Sanders became the 15th women's basketball player to earn NAIA All-American status. Carrie Abdo (2009) was the last Saint to earn this prestigious award.
