03/29/2014 – The Aquinas College women's lacrosse team moved to 4-2 in WHAC play with a pair of conference wins this week. The Saints defeated WHAC rivals Siena Heights and Lawrence Tech to improve their overall record to 6-3.
On Wednesday, Aquinas traveled to Adrian to take on Siena Heights. Aquinas dominated the first half of play, leading 13-5 at the break. The visiting Saints kept the pressure on in the second-half and came away with a 21-10 victory. Freshman attack Hannah Crosby and junior attack Alexandra Burns each scored five goals and had two assists for Aquinas. Meghan Gray made seven saves in net.
The next day, the Saints hosted the Blue Devils of Lawrence Tech. Once again the Saints raced out to an early lead. Aquinas led 15-2 at halftime on the way to a 21-7 victory. The duo of Crosby and Burns once again had big games for the Saints. Burns led the way with six goals, while Crosby had eight points (three goals and five assists). Mikela Caseria added four assists. Freshman Lucy Montanaro had five saves for the Saints.
