Hendrick, Artaev and Saari Named All Americans

05/19/14 – Aaron Hendrick, Nik Artaev and Kristoff Saari were named NAIA All Americans in the sport of men's tennis. The trio led the Saints to a 25-5 record, a regular season WHAC title and a berth in the NAIA National Championships in Mobile, Alabama.

Hendrick was named Second Team All American, while Artaev and Saari were both members of the Honorable Mention squad. For both Aaron and Nik it was the fourth time they received All American accolades, while Kristoff collected his first All American honor. Hendrick and Artaev were also named NAIA Academic All Americans for the second time in their careers.

Aaron, who also was named ITA Senior Player of the Year, concluded his final season with a 21-10 singles record and a 27-5 mark in doubles. His doubles partner for the past four seasons, Nik Artaev, finished the 2014 campaign with a 24-4 doubles record and a 19-8 individual mark. Kristoff amassed a 29-2 singles record and a 24-10 mark in doubles action.

The consistency and successes of both Hendrick and Artaev over the past four years has paved the way for Saints like Saari. Kristoff, along with the rest of the returners, will look to keep Coach Hendrick's crew in the upper echelon of small college men's tennis for years to come.
